Fine dining the way it was meant to be with children! Eat the Street is a whimsical work of contemporary performance where children travel to the city's most notable eateries and offer their uncensored opinions. For the cost of a meal, the public is invited to a front-row view of youthful connoisseurs in action. It will be the most fun meal you've had since you, yourself, sat at the kids' table. Check pushfestival.ca for a complete list of restaurants and dates, or follow the chaos at eatdastreet.blogspot.com. Join the panel of pre-adolescent adjudicators for an uproarious awards ceremony at the Roundhouse where awards are bestowed for everything from 'Most Delicious' and 'Coolest Chef' to 'Least Graffiti in the Washroom'.

Rabih Mroué (Beirut, Lebanon)
A Roundhouse Partnership; PuSh International Performing Arts Festival, grunt gallery & Contemporary Art Gallery; Supported by the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre.

In this thoughtful and provocative performance, Lebanese artist Rabih Mroué follows the true story of a man who disappears from his low-level post at the Ministry of Finance in Beirut. Brilliantly merging storytelling with live sketch art, Mroué takes the audience on a perplexing search for the “truth,” littered with a sea of documents, clippings, photos and found objects. The material accumulates under multi-camera live feeds as we are exposed to the ways media shape public perception, rumours, accusations, political conflicts and scandals. The winner of the 2010 Spalding Gray Award, Mroué’s often-controversial work draws attention to issues and events that have been swept under the rug in the current political climate of the Middle East.
