The Roundhouse will be closed for the Labour Day long weekend: September 4–6, opening on September 7 at 9am. We hope that you’ll have a chance to take a little time to relax, or conversely, get started on those fall chores.
Initially, Labour Day was a celebration of ‘working-class solidarity and belonging during a time of rapid industrialization.’ Over the years, the holiday has dramatically changed, and now we celebrate it as the start of the last days of summer and a final holiday hurrah before autumn begins and we launch into the school term.
