TRAIN OF THOUGHT

Heads up! HVAC flying in…

Our shiny, two new HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) units will be arriving on the Turntable on Thursday, September 8. In order to get them onto the roof, the Roundhouse Turntable Plaza will be closed to foot traffic, and Davie St will be closed to traffic. Once the crane arrives and is in place, it will hoist the units up on to the roof. We’re very much looking forward to the next phase where the new HVAC units are installed and eventually turned on. See below for the notice from the construction company.

September 2, 2022: To the neighbours of the Roundhouse

RE: Notice of Construction – 181 Roundhouse Mews: Roundhouse Community Centre
Scott Special Projects has been contracted by the City of Vancouver to remove and replace two roof-top ventilation units at the Roundhouse Community Centre. The project will last until approximately October 2022.

On Thursday September 8th between 7am – 7pm a large crane will be placed in the Roundhouse courtyard/turntable area.
• Davie Street will be closed between Pacific Blvd and Marinaside Crescent during this time to allow equipment access.
• Pedestrian access through the alley to the south of the Roundhouse Community Centre will continue to be closed during and after the crane lift due to ongoing repairs on the building.
• Crews will be present during this time to guide people toward the detour (Roundhouse Mews – Pacific Blvd).
• Portions of the courtyard/turntable area will remain closed for the majority of the day.

Our team at Scott Construction would like to thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation in this matter.
