Led by Rosario Ancer, this session will introduce you to the art of flamenco through diverse rhythms, footwork, arm work, and simple choreographies. Rosario Ancer, known as the mother of flamenco in Vancouver and a key figure in flamenco’s development in Canada, is a dancer, choreographer, and director of the Vancouver Flamenco Festival.
Regular, comfortable shoes or being barefoot are suitable; flamenco shoes are not necessary.
