Dance and Movement

Preschool Ballet
Children will learn basic ballet vocabulary. Attention to creativity, lightness, musicality, posture and the joy of expression is part of this fun class. A Showing will be held on the last class.
DANCEPL3Y Preschool
Introduce your child to dance in a fun and playful way. The DANCEPL3Y Preschool program focuses on the development of physical literacy and Fundamental Movement Skills, which are the ABCs of healthy growth and development.
Creative Ballet Level 1
Introduce your little dancer to the beautiful art of ballet. The first level is intended for students ages 3-4. The class will focus on introductions to musicality, expression through creative movement, and motor skills and coordination through ballet steps and positioning in a fun setting.
Creative Ballet Level 2
This class is intended for students 4-5. In this class, students will be introduced to barre work, including positioning, posture and terminology with a balance of play through creative movement. Ballet shoes and stretchy fitted clothing such as tights and a bodysuit are preferred.
Preschool Hip Hop
Children will learn cool hip hop moves and learn to dance to beats. Create dance sequences and learn choreography. A showing will be held on the last class.
Animal KingdoMoMovements
Animal Kingdom Movements Movements gets your little monkeys moving creatively. They'll have a blast jumping like frogs, lumbering like gorillas, skittering like crabs, or swimming and playing like whales, dolphins and seals. A super fun, creative and different way to get your little humans moving.

How to Register

Registering for a program is as simple as:

  1. Create your Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation account.
  2. Click the ‘Register Now’ button in the Roundhouse Program you want to register for. This will take you to the program page on the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation website.
  3. Complete your registration, including payment.
