Re-storying Your Future: a Youth Climate Change Residency was 3-month production exploration in which participants learned climate stories don’t have to be all doom and gloom, they can uplift and re-center marginalized and underrepresented voices.

They developed a script and created their own narratives on climate change in a 48-hour film shoot. The resulting film, How Climate Change Affects Love, examined what concessions a newlywed couple must make towards affirming their love and mitigating climate change. This new work premiered at the Roundhouse during BC Youth Week May 2022.

The production was developed by Vancouver Park Board: Decolonization, Arts and Culture in partnership with Echo Park Film Centre North and Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House – Frames Film Program, Moberly Arts Centre and the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre.
