We extend our heartfelt condolences to those affected by the brutal attack during the Lapu Lapu Day festival in Vancouver on Saturday, April 26. This tragic incident resulted in a devastating loss of life and left many injured, both physically and mentally.
What began as a celebration of joy and culture ended in an act of violence. Our thoughts are with the families, friends, and communities mourning this tragedy.
“Bayanihan” refers to a community spirit within Filipino culture. It embodies a spirit of cooperation and camaraderie that inspires people to assist each other—particularly those in need—without any expectations. The Filipino community is loving and resilient; we stand with you during this time of sorrow.
With love & care,
The Roundhouse staff, volunteers and community.
