Stay Dry and Entertained: Free Indoor Activities Happening in Vancouver’s Roundhouse this February

Sometimes, Vancouver’s soggy grey skies can weigh you down. Here are some exciting and fun activities we’re holding in February that you won’t have to open your wallet for and can stay dry!

Sam Chimes

Sam Chimes will perform live in the Roundhouse lobby on Saturday, February 17. He brings elements of live Jazz and improv to his upbeat hip-hop style, making it a performance that shouldn’t be missed. This concert will kick off our Family Day Weekend. On Monday, February 19, we have a series of events planned, including a free live performance by Will and Seeka Friends with Everyone at 3 pm. Before that, starting at 11 am, a bouncy castle will be set up for children to enjoy. Our Family Day festivities will conclude with a virtual chat with Tomson Highway about his new kid’s book, Rabbit Nation, and the importance of laughter. For more information, please check our website.

As a part of the Vancouver International Dance Festival, there will be noon-hour life drawing sessions with the dancers hosted in the Exhibition Hall. Life drawing is an excellent way to enhance your drawing skills and appreciate the beauty of the human form. All necessary art supplies will be provided; advance registration is not required. The sessions will occur at the end of February and the beginning of March. Please visit our website for further details.

Do you have a teenager at home who has been spending too much time in front of screens lately? We offer a variety of free drop-in gym sports, including basketball, volleyball, and open gym. All of our youth drop-in programs are free, so just show up. There’s no need to register beforehand. For an updated schedule, please visit our online program guide.
